This is already the eighth year that this series - organized every spring by Podewil in cooperation with TanzWerkstatt Berlin - is presenting a range of work from the international dance scene, with pieces by local newcomers as well as productions from internationally-renowned companies. One of this year's highlights is Akram Khan with the German premiere of his solo piece, "Ronin". In the following days, KÖRPERSTIMMEN will be presenting the new production of the Berlin-based group, TWO FISH. Since their appearance at Tanztage Berlin in January 2002, Angela Schubot and Martin Clausen (artists-in-residence 2003 at Podewil) have gained an international reputation. The festival is also thrilled to welcome guests from Italy - the performance group Kinkaleri from Florence will present the German premiere of their new piece, <OTTO>. Parisian artist Martine Pisani will be presenting her trio, "sans", which approaches pure dance in a humorous way. The series will be rounded off with the German premiere of the new production, "mountains are mountains", by Austrian choreographer/dancer Philipp Gehmacher (London/Vienna).
